Behavioral Weight Loss Treatment in Greenwich CT
Serving Greenwich, Darien, Westport, Westchester, and Surrounding Areas in Connecticut and New York
Who do you work with, and what is your approach? We work with individuals experiencing negative consequences of being overweight or obese. We have training in the most current, evidence-based methods for promoting healthy lifestyle changes and weight loss. Our approach is behavioral, and we incorporate mindfulness and acceptance-based strategies. We set clear eating and exercise goals and monitor these behaviors. We will teach you psychological strategies to help you meet and maintain your goals.
How much weight can I expect to lose? Research has shown that behavioral weight loss therapy can help you lose about 10% of your body weight. However, this is just an average - some people lose a lot more, and some people lose less.
Do you work with individuals who are considering or have had bariatric surgery? We work with individuals pre- and post- bariatric surgery. If you are considering weight loss surgery, we help you prepare and maximize your chances of success. If you have undergone weight loss surgery, we help you post-operatively to maximize your surgical outcome.
