Chronic Pain Treatment in Greenwich CT

Chronic Pain Treatment in Greenwich, Darien, Westport, Westchester, and Surrounding Areas in Connecticut and New York

What is chronic pain? There are numerous sources of chronic or persistent pain, such as back pain, headaches, and rheumatological conditions. Chronic pain is often associated with decreased functionality, loss of work, disability, and poor quality of life. Pain and disability are influenced not only by injury and structural abnormalities; but also by psychological factors (e.g., thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, behavioral patterns, environment). These psychological factors can play critical roles in the management of chronic pain and can be addressed in therapy.

How do you treat chronic pain? We use cognitive-behavioral strategies as well as mindfulness and acceptance-based strategies to help you manage chronic pain. We will work with you to adjust various lifestyle factors, including decreasing depression/anxiety, reframing unhelpful thoughts about pain, mood improvement, and increasing your engagement with hobbies and social life. We will help you shift your expectations around navigating chronic pain.

What kind of experience do you have treating chronic pain? Both Drs. Sala and Roos have extensive experience treating chronic pain. We have treated many individuals with chronic pain throughout our careers and have completed rotations focused on chronic pain during our training.
